Almost twenty years ago, I began working in the mental health field, providing services in homes, communities, schools, agencies, and residential/acute hospital settings. Since that time, every environment in which I have supported clients and their families has been in collaboration with a team. My work in residential/acute settings led to observations of the significance of integrating mind, body, and spirit into supporting individuals struggling with mental health crises to truly help them reach their wellness goals. Meanwhile, my own personal journey with my physical health led me to become aware of the intricate relationship between gut health and mental health first, and then the significance of spiritual well-being and mental well-being.  In my doctoral research, I became interested in wellness models in counseling, particularly in the integration of sexuality wellness into counseling.

I have always known that my purpose is to be a healer. My journey has been a steady integration of my personal experiences and growth into my role as a counselor, teacher, and advocate.

Born and raised a Tarheel, I grew up playing sports and was immersed in church. I attended Mars Hill University for undergrad, and I went to Baptist

Theological Seminary in Richmond (BTSR) for my Master of Divinity. I moved to Columbia in 2009 to pursue professional Chaplaincy. For nearly 10 years, I worked as a healthcare Chaplain, and I loved interacting with people during times of crisis. My life shifted in 2019, and I felt called to leave healthcare and focus more on helping folx experiencing the "dark night of the soul."

Having grown up in the Southern Baptist tradition, ordained in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, I now find myself somewhere in the vast beyond of any denomination or tradition. Putting labels on myself is limiting and doesn't allow for the Universe to speak as She desires.  I love living in the ambiguity of possibility!

I live in West Columbia, SC, with my partner Angela and doggos Rayne and Sadie.
